ACCAF held a training workshop in Nakuru that drew together 29 health care providers from five counties - Narok, Samburu, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot and Baringo - that are part of the target counties for FGM/C abandonment in UNFPA-UNICEF Joint 8th Country programme. The workshop aimed at sensitizing health care providers on the medicalization of FGM/C, sourcing their experiences, and understanding their role in accelerating the abandonment of FGM/C.
